A graduate of Occidental College in Los Angeles, Doug Sherrod attended law school at the University of San Diego, where he was awarded for superior academic achievement.
He was then selected to serve in the prestigious position of legal assistant at the federal prosecutor’s office in the United States Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of California. Among other matters, Doug assisted in the prosecution of corrupt United States Congressman Randall “Duke” Cunningham.
After graduation, Mr. Sherrod was recruited to become a prosecutor and join the Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office, representing the government in court. Mr. Sherrod developed strong professional relationships with fellow prosecutors, police agencies, defense attorneys, and judges across Los Angeles County.
He soon earned a reputation as one of the most fearless and skilled trial attorneys in Los Angeles, and rose to the rank of senior trial attorney. Several judges in Los Angeles commented that Mr. Sherrod was “brilliant,” “uncommonly effective” in front of a jury and “among the best they had seen” in their years on the bench.
Eight years later, Doug left the government so that he could utilize his talent to represent the interests of individuals in need of top level advocacy. His results have been nothing less than extraordinary. Fighting for truck drivers and gang members, medical doctors and executives, Doug has established a track record of results second to none in Southern California.
When he’s not fighting for his clients in the courtroom, Doug enjoys long distance hiking, river kayaking, the study of Greek classical philosophy, and visiting historical sites overseas.
